It's been almost one year since Jimmy Fallon took over The Tonight Show from Jay Leno, who managed to hold on to his position for several decades. Since then, Fallon has settled rather well into his new role as host and has made a decent job of the transition.

But that still doesn't make up for the fact that the NBC bosses showed Leno the door in a very unprofessional way and that he left the show not of his own free will, but because he was basically told that he had to leave.

As the network prepared the move, the two appeared in several sketches together and seemed to get along well. Now, for the first time since he was replaced, Jay Leno will make an appearance on the Tonight Show, according to THR.

Leno will appear on The Tonight Show on Friday to speak about his brand new series on CNBC, which will obviously be about cars, and also about his recent earning of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

But most likely, people will be tuning in to see the chemistry between Fallon and Leno and if there are going to be any blows below the belt, since Leno left the show in some awkward conditions, although this time he was allowed to make a formal exit, as opposed to when he was briefly replaced by Conan O'Brien.
