From the array of movies coming out in these last months of 2013, “Homefront” really stands out as the classic action movie where the good guy and the bad guy punch each other intensely in that old fashion way we all love. The TV spot below can prove that beyond any doubt.

The movie is about a tough ex agent (Jason Statham) who retires and moves with his 10-year-old daughter in a small town, to get some peace and quiet. The problem is that “he picked the wrong town.”

Because trouble follows this type of character wherever he or she goes, trouble follows Statham too. This time, though, the stakes are higher than ever because his daughter is also involved.

The town is at the mercy of a methlord called Gator (bad guy James Franco) who becomes suspicious of the new arrival. The real action begins about now, but “they start messing up with the wrong family,” as Statham explained in an interview with Kathie Lee and Hoda on Today's Talk.

The script was written by Sylvester Stallone, so prepare yourself for a lot of testosterone, blood and action.

The thriller movie “Homefront” brings together Jason Statham, James Franco, Kate Bosworth and Winona Ryder, and will be released on November 27 in the US.

Here is the latest TV spot, as promised.
