On the Japanese video game market the PlayStation Portable from Sony has managed to remain the best sold individual handheld model on the market while the twin Pokemon version Black and White have again remained the most important titles on the market, although their sales lead is shrinking.

The PSP console has lost a little over 3,000 sales since the previous week, going from 37,088 to 33,683 but the device still has a very healthy lead over the runner up, the Nintendo DSi version which now stands on 22,301, down from 24,937.

Third place went to the Nintendo DSi LL version, the one which offers two cameras that can be used for photos and chating and offers a bigger screen to enjoy content on, with sales of 21,777, which also saw a slight drop from 24,246.

The PlayStation 3 home console is still the best sold home console, with 19,948 units moved to gamers, ahead of the 12,158 for the Nintendo Wii.

The rest of the positions for gaming consoles are the same as during the previous seven days, with the DS Lite leading the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 2 and the PSP Go, which again sold under 1,000.

Pokemon Black and White is again the best sold title on the Japanese market, managing to move 231,638 copies to boost its overall numbers.

The first new entry in the chart is Gekijouban Macross F: Itsuwarino Utahime - Hybrid Pack from publisher Namco Bandai for the PlayStation 3 home console, with initial sales of 152,699.

Another new comer is Kingdom Hearts Re:coded from Square Enix for the Nintendo DS, which managed to sell 95,505 copies on debut in order to take number three in the chart.

Red Dead Redemption, which only now debuted in Japan, took fourth place in Japan with sales of 70,599 units for the PlayStation 3.

Fifth place went to Class of Heroes 3, from Acquire from the PSP, selling 30,572.

From fifth to tenth place the chart includes: Wii Party, Red Dead Redemption, F1 2010, Dead Rising 2 and K-On! After School Live.
