Star says she wishes she’d never gone down that road

Hollywood legend Jane Fonda is again coming clean about getting plastic surgery. Though she said many times in the past that her beauty secret was getting enough sleep and leading as active a life as possible, in a recent interview cited by ShowbizSpy, the star reveals she’s had some extra help in that department as well.

About ten years ago, in 2000, Jane Fonda went on the record to say that she would never go under the knife again and that she would age gracefully, as the saying goes. Just recently, she succumbed to pressure and saw the plastic surgeon once more for a little nip and tuck, though she’s come to regret the decision. However, since she’s coming out with a book on aging, the star believes it’s only fair to be honest to her readers about the kind of work she’s had done.

“I caved. If I was really brave, I would have not. I vowed I wouldn’t – I did, and I don’t feel proud of it. I didn’t want to look kind of tired and jowly any more. I didn’t do a lot, right? Your lighting is so good, you probably can’t see my crow’s feet and everything like that. I don’t look weird – do I look weird? I like my crow’s feet and I like my little laugh lines. It was just the little jowls away, that’s all. I didn’t want to lie about it. I’m writing a book about getting older, so I had to admit it. I feel so good. I’m so happy,” the star said on a recent appearance on Larry King.

Though she underwent a different kind of intervention, Carmen Electra is also one of the celebrities to have recently come clean about having plastic-surgery regrets. The former VJ and glamour model revealed that she had come to think her life would have been different – better – if she hadn’t had implants put in, boosting her cup size to an impressive DD. She did not say what it was exactly what bothered her about them, but she mentioned she believed the natural way would have been a much wiser choice.

“I had breast surgery over 10 years ago, taking me from a 32B to DD, which took a bit of time to get used to. I didn’t want to go as big as that. It’s nice that I don’t have to wear a push-up bra any more, but I could have left myself alone,” Carmen said, as we also reported at the time.
