Feud starts over Stern’s comments on Gabourey Sidibe’s weight

A new celebrity feud has started and it’s playing out on Sirius radio. Jamie Foxx and Howard Stern are duking it out each on their own radio shows, throwing around heavy words and making allegations about the other’s personal life, as The Sun can confirm. So far, round one would seem to go to Foxx, but Stern is unlikely to let this one go.

It all started the other day, when Jamie Foxx took to his Foxxhole radio station to say that Robin Quivers had more in common with Gabourey Sidibe, whom she bitterly criticized, than she might have ever believed. Both had a weight problem and Quivers too was once black, the singer and actor said. Stern came to his co-host’s defense, and he did so by attacking Foxx and his orientation, by taking old rumors and twisting them to come across as facts.

In short, Stern claimed Foxx was gay and even offered (some rather childish) arguments to back him up. Of course, Jamie too came out guns a-blazing: he labeled his nemesis a “coward” and said that, while he was absolutely OK with whatever rumors were making the rounds, he was not about to let Stern have the final word. Even more, Jamie insisted he could personally eat pizza in the shower in a men’s locker room and he’d still be pretty comfortable about himself – but nothing could possibly excuse Stern’s cowardice.

As we also informed you a while back, the comments Stern made and that are now at the base of this new feud were anything but delicate. Speaking of Oscar-nominee actress Gabourey Sidibe, the radio host said that she would be better off seeking help for her weight issue because she could die any day now. At the same time, he also said that she would never get another role at least half as important as that of Precious in the drama with the same name, since it was her own body that limited her.

To see what both Jamie Foxx and Howard Stern have to say about the Sidibe issue – and each other – please refer here. For obvious reasons, their comments are too unpalatable to be put on paper.
