Actor and singer Jamie Foxx apologizes for dissing Miley Cyrus during radio show

Yesterday, an audio recording of a segment of actor and singer Jamie Foxx’s radio show was posted online. In it, Foxx could be heard launching a very bitter and graphic attack on teen star Miley Cyrus, saying she needed to do coke, smoke crack and grow up to get rid of her sense of entitlement. Appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the actor apologized for the outburst, saying he was just being a comedian and did not mean any offense, OK! Magazine reports.

Following reports that Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was none too pleased with what Foxx had said about his daughter on air and was even considering acting in a court of law to have him take back his words, the actor has apologized for the attack. He was out of line and he knows it, Foxx says, but it only happened because he’s a comedian and was trying to make light of a given situation. He certainly did not mean any harm by what he said, the star also explains.

“I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far… There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously.” Foxx told on the show as a means of apology for the star. Also on the show, OK! informs, the actor could be seen looking straight into the camera and then addressing Miley herself. “Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand.” the actor added.

As we reported yesterday, the whole thing began when the topic of Miley Cyrus’ so-called feud with Radiohead was brought into discussion. At first, Jamie Foxx did not seem to know who Miley was, and a woman could be heard telling him that she was that “white [expletive],” to which Foxx replied, “the one with the gums?” and laughter ensued.

The audio, just a couple of minutes long, as posted on YouTube, is filled with profanity and references to the Disney star that can hardly be reproduced anywhere in writing. “Grow up... Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin... get some crack in your pipe... Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat.” Foxx mockingly told Cyrus at one point.
