14 DAY TRIAL // Right after Kanye's controversial video to “Bound 2” was released, James Franco and Seth Rogen did their own spoof version which seemed to attract as much attention as Kim Kardashian sitting without her top in Kanye's arms on the motorcycle.
Now, Franco comes forward with a confession that is about as shocking as finding out that the Pope is actually not Catholic. The actor/comedian revealed on “The View” that he was approached by Kanye West some time ago and asked to perform his famous spoof the night before Kim and Kanye's French wedding.
Franco, who was on there to promote his new Broadway show “Of Mice and Men,” said that he thought about it and at first decided that it would be a good idea, but then realized it would have been awful.
He said that performing at the couple's celebrity wedding “would have been awesome for about 20 seconds, but then there would be Seth with his shirt off in front all the Kardashians!” The embarrassment would be enough to make the actors decline the rapper's invitation.
Knowing that people in the audience would have a hard time seeing how Seth, James and Kanye could ever become friends, Franco took the time to explain just how that came to be. “Kim loved the video and we didn't hear back from Kanye so we kind of felt like he's not bashing us, but he probably hates it but he's not going to say anything,” Franco said.
“But then two weeks ago, we got a call from Kanye. Seth and I were on the phone. We thought he was just going to let us have it. But he loved it. And I'm pretty sure I can say it now because I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen - he wanted us to perform it live the night before his wedding at Versailles,” he added.
This could very well be just Franco trying to be funny, since it's been reported that Kanye and Kim couldn't get into Versailles to organize their wedding and were forced to find another venue outside of Paris. Speculations have led to a different, albeit smaller palace, since the couple is so crazy about royalty.
At the moment, it seems that James France and Seth Rogen are off the guest list. It just remains to be seen if Beyonce, Jay and Oprah will be making it to the nuptials, since it's been rumored that they won't be attending the celebrity wedding.
