14 DAY TRIAL // With every new project, James Franco is striving to move away from the Hollywood heartthrob image he felt he never deserved. The latest is “Broken Tower” and you can see a first teaser for it above.
The film, written and directed by Franco, who also plays the leading part, has already been shown at film festivals, mostly to mixed reviews.
The teaser probably means a wide release is to be expected, though nothing is listed yet on the film's IMDB page.
Franco plays visionary and incredibly troubled poet Hart Crane. Also starring are Dave Franco and the always brilliant Michael Shannon.
“The truth is indecent,” says the tagline of the film. Safe to say, there's nothing indecent about this trailer.
