In case you didn't know, Jake Gyllenhaal's love conquest list is not only long but also filled with a lot of celebrity names, which makes him one of the most sought after bachelors in Hollywood today. It would seem that actress Rachel McAdams was not unaware of that reputation, because she's reportedly fallen for him as the two of them have been seen on a cozy date out on the town over dinner.

The first time the couple were spotted together in public and sparked romance rumors was last week when they went for dinner in Pittsburgh, where they are currently working together on a movie project entitled “Southpaw,” which also stars Lupita Nyong'o and Forest Whitaker.

On Saturday, the two were seen together again, this time in New York, at the Lugo Cafe, where they seemed very close and intimate. One spy told Page Six that “They arrived together and sat next to each other” while they were involved in “deep conversation,” during all of which they “looked happy and very friendly.”

After their little cafe fling, they headed on over to Madison Square Garden where they attended the boxing match between Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez. Some have pointed out that Jake is doing research for the film in which he himself plays a boxer.

Gyllenhaal's love list includes names such as Taylor Swift, Kirsten Dunst, Reese Witherspoon and model Alyssa Miller, among others. He's not known as the type of man to spend too much time in a relationship, something which has earned him quite the reputation in Hollywood, but it seems that he still doesn't have trouble landing suitable partners.

On the other hand, Rachel McAdams has a shorter conquest list, despite her good looks. As of late, she's been romantically linked to Canadian music manager Patrick Sambrook. Previously, she's been in a relationship with Michael Sheen.

Dating rumors aside, friends close to the two actors insist there is no loveplay going on at the moment between them and that they are just “friendly co-stars,” researching the new film together. Of course, “friendly co-stars” is how most of the actors managed to find love in Tinseltown.

People still remember when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were nothing more than just “friendly co-stars” on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” And that's just one example, a mere drop in a very large bucket. It's also worth mentioning that Rachel's previous partner, Michael Sheen, was her co-star on the movie “Midnight in Paris.”
