Now that famed singer and even more infamous celebrity Amy Winehouse has started to show signs that she has finally put her life back on track by kicking her drug habit, reports are swirling that her long-forgotten husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, has instructed an attorney to file for divorce. It seems that word of the good time Amy is having in the Caribbean has also reached him, and he’s none too happy about it.

The MailOnline has spoken to celebrity lawyer Henri Brandman, who confirmed that Blake, now incarcerated again after failing a drug test, had instructed him to go on with the proceedings for the divorce, thus putting an end to what was probably one of the stormiest marriages in showbiz. While not specifically stating it so, the attorney also hinted that Blake’s intentions as far as the strategy for the divorce battle is concerned, would be to ask for half of Amy’s £10 million estimated fortune.

Apparently, the sudden move came after Blake saw pictures of Amy on the beautiful island of St Lucia, together with a 21-year-old man towards whom she was not shy to manifest her loving feelings. As if photos of the two were not enough to seal the deal with Blake, Amy’s latest talks with media representatives also brag about turning over a new leaf what with finding real love, and being able to finally kick the drug habit, of which she says it was mostly enabled by Blake.

“I love it here and have never felt so happy. In fact, I don't think I’m ever going home. Especially as I met Josh [Bowman] here. He couldn’t be more different from my husband, which isn’t a bad thing.” Amy told the US tab News of the World, adding that she had almost forgotten about being married to a man whom she could no longer stand for reminding her of a person she no longer wanted to be.

“My skin was a spotty mess and I was so pale and skinny. I thought to myself, ‘Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you'll be dead soon.’ I was depressed, doing drugs and had no life in me at all. Coming here has changed everything.” Amy explained. Until not long ago, the entire world too thought the award-winning singer could not have long to live, especially after her terrible weight loss and a couple of public appearances that clearly indicated she had hit rock bottom.
