It turns out jaguars are surprisingly posh. Long story short, they find the scent of Calvin Klein's Obsession cologne absolutely irresistible, and cannot help but come closer to take a better sniff.

According to VR Zone, wildlife researchers are now using said cologne to attract such felines living in Nicaragua and snap pictures of them.

More precisely, they simply sprinkle some Obsession in areas where they have installed camera traps, and then patiently wait for whatever jaguars are in the region to make an appearance and have their picture taken.

Specialists are not sure why it is that jaguars like the smell of this cologne as much as they do.

However, they suspect it has something to do with the fact that Obsession contains civetone, i.e. a chemical compound that is secreted by the sweat glands of nocturnal cats known as civets.

Otherwise put, odds are the felines are merely looking for something to eat.

The vanilla extract that is also used to make this cologne might also spark the jaguars' curiosity, researchers say.
