Ubisoft has announced that its upcoming third person action adventure title Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be getting a Collector’s Edition that comes with a variety of extra content for those who consider themselves true fans of the series.

Pre orders for the new package are open now and players will also be able to pick them up when the video game is officially launched on November 16 in North America and three days later in Europe.

The Collector’s Edition will cost 40 dollars more than the normal edition of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and will come packed with a few surprising extra.

Players will be getting an unique art book showing how the team fleshed out the era in which the game takes place and the protagonist, alongside a making of video on a separate DVD and the game soundtrack.

As usual with more recent high profile game launched buyers will also receive a sneak preview at the comic based on Assassin’s Creed and a full real life map of Rome showing important locations.

The more important additions to the Collector’s Edition are the two exclusive maps that will be available in game after a code is used and a real life jack in the box figurine.

Pre orders coming through GameStop will receive a Harleguin model while those who get Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood from other shops will get the Doctor.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will emphasize the multiplayer element that has until now been missing from the Ubisoft made series.

In single player gamers will control other assassin’s and give them missions as they confront the Templars in their layer while in multiplayer different characters will hunt each other on the streets of the city.

Ubisoft has said that the new game will not offer very much in the way of storyline extension for long term fans but a whole new segment of players might be attracted to the series by the presence of multiplayer.
