A new brand in the electronics industry, JWD has announced its intention of launching a new portable media player, which is going to be called PMP 6500. At a first glimpse, the good news is it doesn't take on some other hot items on the market. It reveals a 2.8-inch TFT LCD 262K colors screen display. The player's design line is not bad either, since milky white casing has always been fashionable.

Nevertheless, the coolest feature on the player's specs list is its Microsoft Play FX capability. This means it allows users to take advantage of the latest technology in the gaming area, such as 3D sound effects, automatic volume adjustment and pure bass enhancement for the sound capabilities. A while ago, we have introduced you to Pasen ShakeIT, the first PMP ever to use the PlayFX tech.

However, there are a lot of portable media players to use this technology and OPPO V5 and Newsmy, aka Newman R88 are only two of the most successful Chinese players on the electronics market. Sadly, they packed a rather unexpected single GB for the internal memory capacity, and that, if using the built-in microSD cards slot for the extra memory boost.

Regarding the JWD 6500 PMP capabilities, it can handle a lot of file formats on the market, such as MPEG4, AVI, DRM, VOB, DAT, MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC, JEPEG, FLV and more. But, besides the already mentioned features, it can also double as an e-Book reader, for TXT file formats.

As I am sure there are a lot of people interested in this PMP, I just have to tell you there is no official info on pricing and availability yet, therefore you could only try and check it on the Internet a bit later. The way it is, it would make a good - under 200 bucks price tag - item! Hopefully I am right!
