Although PMA 2008 (PhotoMarket Association's International Trade Show) is scheduled to start in around two weeks' time, some of the exhibitors have already started to make several announcements regarding what visitors should expect upon entering their booths. And that's also the case with JOBO who'll be bringing just about every new product from the company's lineup.

First of all, it's important to mention the fact that JOBO has announced that it will bring to PMA its famous line of portable storage devices for digital photos, including here the successor to JOBO's GIGA one device, the GIGA one ultra, which features a download speed of 1 GB in about three minutes (twice as fast as the data transfer speed of original GIGA one). Other products from the same family worth mentioning are JOBO's professional-level photo storage device, the GIGA Vu extreme, which incorporates many features of the company's GIGA Vu PRO evolution while offering hard disc capacities up to 160 GB, as well as numerous other professional photo features and updates.

Beside the storage-related products, JOBO will also present some of its digital photo frames, including here the JOBO Photo Display PDJ151 model, which sports a 15-inch high intensity luminous resolution TFT-Color-LCD display, 1GB of internal memory for easy access to images and many other user-friendly functions. The people who visit the company's booth at PMA will also be able to see JOBO's two 10.4-inch models - Photo Display PDJ105 (512MB internal memory) and PDJ100 (128MB internal memory), as well as two 7-inch models - Photo Display PDJ701 (1GB internal memory) and PDJ700 (128MB internal memory), all featuring the same type of LCD display.

However, one of the most important pre-PMA announcements made by JOBO is related to the company's new line of Energy PREMIO rechargeable batteries, which have been developed specifically for use with digital SLRs, compact point-and-shoot digital cameras and camcorders. In total there are about 300 battery models (mostly Lithium-ion, but some NiMH), 60 of the most common of them will be readily available for the 400 most popular camera models.

According to the company's statement, the new JOBO Energy PREMIO battery line is packaged with an easy to match color coding system making it easy for retailers and consumers to find the right replacement battery for their digital camera or camcorder model. Furthermore, these new JOBO batteries provide a constant capacity across many charging cycles (300 to 500 depending on usage), do not have a memory effect, are high current capable and quick charge capable and sport an electronic microchip against short circuiting, overcharging and overheating.
