She is the woman who gave us Harry Potter, the boy wizard who grows up to face the worst imaginable enemy ever. His story was made into the biggest film franchise of all times and, as such Warner Bros. can’t but feel eternally indebted to Rowling.

A new report suggest that, as a sign of gratitude for creating Harry Potter and thus allow him to make billions by turning him into the star of a movie franchise, the CEO of the studio offered Rowling the sickest present ever.

Shortly after the final installment came out and it became clear that it was about to knock down all previous records, the Warner Bros. CEO presented Rowling with a present that the rest of the world can only dream of, TMZ writes.

“As if J.K. Rowling wasn’t rich enough – Warner Bros. gave her a token of its appreciation for the latest ‘Harry Potter’ flick – an insanely expensive piece of jewelry,” the e-zine writes.

“Sources close to CEO Barry Meyer tell TMZ, Rowling scored a white gold, antique 40-diamond bracelet worth millions of dollars – which he presented to her at the London premiere after-party,” the same media outlet adds.

Admittedly, Rowling was so impressed with the unexpected present that she didn’t even want to wear it at first, at least, not until she had it insured.

Eventually, she found a middle-way.

“According to sources, Rowling was nervous about donning such a valuable piece of jewelry before she got it insured... but she got a more primitive form of insurance – a bunch of burly security guards at the bash,” TMZ writes.

“Price, of course, is relative – worldwide, the latest movie has grossed more than half-a-billion bucks,” the e-zine notes.

Indeed, in just its first weekend of release, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Shadows Part 2” made $168.5 million in ticket sales in the US only, while also reaping lots of praise from the critics community, as we also reported a few days ago.
