14 DAY TRIAL // All this past week we've been hearing reports about how Nicholas Hoult was seen fooling around with girls other than Jennifer Lawrence, pointing to the fact that he and Lawrence were no longer a couple. Today, we have confirmation that the two actors are no longer together.
An insider tells US Weekly that the couple have called it off for a second time due to hectic scheduling, which ultimately meant that the two were not spending enough quality time together. The source explains that “They just weren't together a lot, her life is a whirlwind. They have gotten back together before, it just got to be too hard for now.”
You'd think that the couple would have learned something from the first time they've gotten together. Back then, the reason for the split was, unsurprisingly, their scheduling. But either their love was too big or they thought they still had something between them, as they went for it a second time.
Their romance was rekindled on the set of “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” when they spent several months in Canada, shooting for the same movie. But as soon as their work took them to separate places, they started drifting apart all over again.
In an earlier interview, Jennifer has admitted that life in the spotlight sometimes gets in the way. “When we're busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other. Not completely, but neither of us gets mad when the other doesn’t text back or call. Life's super-busy,” she said.
Currently, Jennifer has gone off the radar, so it's hard to say how bad the breakup has hit her, but for Hoult, things don't seem to be going that bad. He was spotted last week flirting with an old friend, Riley Kerough, and just yesterday, he was seen on a date in Tokyo with Kristen Stewart.
The first reports about the breakup speculated that it was Hoult who had called it off because Jennifer's ego had gotten rather big lately due to all the fame and it was making things impossible for him. He was said to be looking for a less prominent girlfriend.
Judging by his latest choices in women, that doesn't seem to be the case. Equally, it's very hard to believe that Jennifer, who seems like such a down-to-Earth person when it comes to fame, would get an “exploded ego.”
The last time Lawrence and Hoult were photographed together was back in May. At the time, she paid Hoult a visit in Koln, Germany, where he was busy filming the movie “Autobahn.”
