It's Ask Raja

It's whatever you want to call it, but most important it's an opportunity to get to know better what it feels like guarding LeBron James, or how it feels like catching a no look pass from Steve Nash, trying to block Shaquille O'Neal or hitting the winning buzzer beater in a playoffs game.

The Phoenix Sun's Raja Bell, whose career took off to new heights during the past three seasons (the one ongoing included), ever since he came to Arizona's NBA team, he has just had the idea of posting a video on YouTube that encourages fans to use the video response function, provided by Google's video sharing service, and ask him all sorts of questions about how it feels like to be a pro ball player in the most valuable basketball championship in the world.

Time to get those old basketball outfits out of the closet, and browse to see if my Nash jersey still fits me and try that webcam. Because oh, I have the questions, I just hope I won't be flooding the channel all by myself.

I wonder why others haven't thought about it, I'm currently reading most of the NBA Players' blogs, but it's not many that have gone video with their blogging and fan question answering. None that I know of, for that matter. Some I would really like to hear about is "The man from Sudan", Luol Deng or Ben Gordon, both with the Chicago Bulls, LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trail Blazers, or Alonzo Mourning, a.k.a. Zo from the Miami Heat.

I know, perhaps I'll shoot a video of myself shooting some hoops and doing some cross-overs and dunking a few times and they'll have me in a suit at the draft? Or not, I'm pretty sure I'd be choking out my lungs before I reach half court. Damn it, sports is good, everybody should be playing something. You, go out and play before it's too late!
