One very good-looking iPod dock. Except for the pink

You don't need me to tell you that there is a huge pile of iPod docks out there, all waiting for you to gently place your beloved player in them and spread the music in the room. Neither do you need me to tell you that among the multitude of such speaker docks you'll find anything from the crappies cheap plastic units to the high-end docking stations that sell for serious money and will offer you a very good sound while still causing your friend and visitors to envy you.

Well, in the mass of neat iPod speaker docks proudly comes now the RockStick, one extremely neat unit that looks far better than mostly anything similar I've seen in the last weeks.

Zagg's RockStick comes centered on two things: one is great portability and the other one is great sound. This dock is actually housed in an aluminium casing that renders it most rigid and even sturdy, especially when compared with the rest of the models out there.

The rugged cabinet is rounded and this helps for better acoustics as it prevents the accumulation of standing waves, allowing for a clearer response from the drivers. The RockStick runs on 4 AAA batteries for ultimate portability but also comes with an AC adapter for the indoor use. Even more, the iPod dock can accommodate any dockable Apple player - if you plan to use the Zagg RockStick with other portable players, there is nothing easier as it sports a line-in that will let you connect everything compatible, laptops or desktop computers included!

The Zagg RockStick is of course charging your iPod while you have it docked; a very neat, functional aspect of the RockStick is that it sports a full-function remote control and this makes it stand from the crowd as it allows you a more comforting operation, without the need to get up from your couch.

The Zagg RockStick comes in black, silver and (a very cretin) pink. Selling for just under $50 for a limited time, supposedly $70 later on.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
