Hack, slash and experience a great story

You could say about this new title coming from Ascaron that it's just a hack and slash RPG, like many others, with the note that this particular one has a great name. And this might be true or not - it's up to you to decide by playing the demo, for starters. The fact that really makes the difference between this game and others is its story.

Your character is an agent that has just graduated from the agent training school and it already has an important mission: eliminate a big rebel leader, Arata, and gather intelligence on a strange nobleman named Rumata of Estor. All the action happens in the medieval times - and here comes the twist and the thing that actually makes this mediocre story (until now) to be a great one.

Your character's action will eventually draw the attention of several groups, one of which turns out to be The Earthmen. And this is the moment when the big smile appears on your face: this medieval age is not the past of our planet - it is, in fact, the future of another world lost in space billions of years ahead. And, yes, the humans from Earth are that advanced that these humans from your planet consider them Gods. And the name Hard To Be A God comes from the fact that, even though humans are that "big", they still make mistakes. But it will be up to you to see what, why and so on.

Apart from the story, this hack and slash RPG promises to bring us a non linear adventure, tons of weapons from swords to laser cannons and, what we care more, tons of enemies. And all these will be available worldwide starting this April for the PC systems only. So if you enjoyed any of Ascaron's other titles (including Patrician, Port Royale, DarkStar, One and Sacred), you should give Hard To Be A God a try, too. First with the demo available below.
