Today, Symantec introduced a new release of Vontu Data Loss Prevention, which is now available to all users through the Symantec's official website. Vontu is a technology supposed to prevent data loss, using numerous Symantec-powered functions such as data loss policy management, network monitoring and prevention solutions bundled with many other features. Vontu Data Loss Prevention 8 can be acquired at a price of $25,000, but the price will be increased depending on the number of users compatible with the product.

"With Vontu Data Loss Prevention 8, we are extending our market leadership by providing a unified solution across endpoint, network and storage systems to help organizations better understand where their sensitive information is stored, how it is used and how best to prevent its loss", said Joseph Ansanelli, vice president of data loss prevention solutions, Symantec. "We are excited about the opportunity to combine our innovative solution with the broader Symantec security and storage portfolio to give a wide range of organizations the confidence they need to answer these business-critical questions."

Obviously, the Vontu 8 release came after a testing session, supposed to find every glitch which may occur while using the program. The consumers have been pretty satisfied with the product, as it is mentioned in a public statement, published on the official page of Symantec.

"We have successfully tested the entire Vontu Data Loss Prevention 8 suite across our endpoint, network and storage systems", said Becky Blalock, senior vice president and CIO at Southern Company, a Vontu 8 beta customer.

Symantec has numerous security technologies installed on the computers from all over the world, its Norton Antivirus being pretty famous among the consumers who were looking for a solution to defend their system. All the Symantec applications are available for download right here on Softpedia.
