No more than 4 games playable on the PS3

Recently, some information came up about the upcoming racing game from Namco, Ridge Racer 7. Looks like Ridge Racer 7 will have quite an effect on your PS3 hard drive, and the question on everybody's lips is if the game is really worth it or not.

The information were initially revealed by IGN translating an material appeared in Famitsu PS2 and was later on taken by Kotaku. In order to speed up loading times, some of you will have to install on your hard drive some 5GB of Ridge Racer information.

Imagine getting the basic PS3 model, meaning the 20GB one. Install Ridge Racer 7 and you will be left with 15 GB, meaning enough space for three more games of this caliber. The PS3 is starting to lose its appeal to me. I like a good racing game as much as the any other guy, but 5GB out of 20 GB? Not likely.

But maybe true Ridge Racer fans will not be bothered by this, as the game will be manufactured exclusively for the PS3 (smells like monopole). Trying to leave the Grand Turismo series behind, Ridge Racer 7 will feature 40 cars, each car having around 200,000 different variations. Yeah, but is it really worth 5GB of youra hard drive?
