Some actors would kill for a chance to be part of the Marvel family – for financial reasons only, not for sentimental ones – but Paul Bettany isn’t one of them. Though he voices J.A.R.V.I.S. in the “Iron Man” movies and “The Avengers,” he’s never seen any Marvel film, these 3 included.

The actor sat down for an interview with Digital Spy (video below), spilling the beans on how he’s not really part of the cast and even feels like a “pirate” for taking money from the studio for doing voice work.

His exact words are “a bag of money,” by the way.

He also admits to not seeing many of his movies, these three from Marvel included because, he explains, they’re not his kind of thing.

“I'm plagued by fanboys who love J.A.R.V.I.S.... They come up and I've got no idea what they're talking about,” Bettany continues, stating his astonishment at the frenzy around all Marvel productions.
