Ever since the infamous Stuxnet virus hit the country’s nuclear facilities back in 2010, Iran has focused its efforts on developing all sorts of security solutions, and they’re even preparing to migrate all systems to a domestic Internet.

However, it seems that the country’s cyber specialists have also been working on enhancing their offensive capabilities.

Real Admiral Ali Fadavi, a senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps claims that the navy’s cyber unit has managed to penetrate the “enemy’s” systems.

Fadavi revealed that they were able to steal highly sensitive data and even managed to decrypt it, the Jerusalem Post reports.

The “enemy” is not named, but in his speech, the commander mentioned the “imperialistic domination” of the United States.

The admiral also highlighted the importance of proper data security, designed to prevent the country’s adversaries from “collecting intelligence.”
