Showtime “Dexter” series has already spawned a few copycats over the years – and it seems the connection to real-life murders doesn’t stop here either. One has just been uncovered in the gruesome killing of a Las Vegas showgirl.

A while back, Deborah Flores-Narvaez was reported missing. She was a working showgirl in Las Vegas and her boyfriend was the main suspect, having been violent to her before.

Her body has been found in the meantime: buried in cement, with her legs cut off. Now, TMZ has learned that the boyfriend used the highly successful series to lure Deborah over to his house.

Still, he maintains he did not premeditate the murder.

“According to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, 31-year-old Deborah Flores-Narvaez told her roommate she was going to her boyfriend’s house to watch ‘Dexter’ on December 12... the last day she was seen alive,” TMZ says.

“Cops believe when Deborah got to her BF’s house, the two got into a fight – and the BF choked her to death,” the same e-zine says.

“Cops believe the BF – an alleged scumbag named Jason Griffith – then chopped off her legs and buried her in cement in an effort to hide the body,” TMZ states.

The connection with the Showtime series stops here. Nevertheless, as fans may remember, it’s not the first time its name pops up in a police murder investigation.

On to happier news, reports online are saying that chances are high that Julia Stiles may return as Lumen on the upcoming season of “Dexter,” the sixth.

As fans must know, the season 5 finale saw Lumen and Dexter part ways after sharing the most intimate experiences available to them (killing together and making love), since her Dark Passenger was no more.

Producer Sara Colleton revealed a short while ago that the possibility of Lumen returning is high because she’s still alive – therefore that’s a “door that remains open,” as we also informed you at the time.
