The Deep Zoom Studio is an online destination designed to highlight some of the best experiences involving Microsoft’s Deep Zoom technology around the web.

Users can simply head over to the Deep Zoom Studio website, making sure that they have Silverlight installed, and start exploring t collection of content available from various sources, with diversified topics.

What do Hard Rock, Obama and Playboy have in common? Well, the fact that projects featuring all of them are available to end users powered by Silverlight and Deep Zoom.

At the Deep Zoom Studio “you will find a collection of the most amazing Deep Zoom experiences on the web. Deep Zoom is a tool that allows you to experience images like never before,” reads the welcome message on the site.

“With it, you zoom into and pan around large, high-resolution images or a collection of images in amazing detail. It's much easier to experience Deep Zoom than it is to explain it, so click through to one of these sites to try it out,” it is added in the message.

Hard Rock, Chris Jordan, Air Jordan, Churchill Deep Zoom, the 44th President (featuring images with Barack Obama), Yosemite, Playboy Archive, Bing Maps, and the National Library of Ireland are the projects highlighted on the Deep Zoom Studio website.

Users need to head over to the website and click through the content available in order to be redirected to the actual Deep Zoom experiences from around the Internet.

Selecting the What is Deep Zoom button will open up a Deep Zoom-powered explanation of the technology from Microsoft.

Of course, the Redmond company is also making it extremely easy for end users to build their own Deep Zoom experiences.

One way is to visit Zoom.it, a project offered by the software giant which enables customers to produce Deep Zoom content from pictures and websites, and even get embed links for their own sites.

Another way is to simply download the free Deep Zoom composer and generate content locally. The latest update to the composer was delivered at the end of June.

Below users will be able to find a variety of links designed to allow them to both enjoy Deep Zoom content across the web, but also create their own experiences.

Deep Zoom is nothing short of spectacular, but users will need to first try it for themselves. They are guaranteed to fall in love with the technology.
