How to make your neighbors hate you even more

Have you ever wanted to block your neighbor's cell phone from logging on to the network? Or maybe you would like to see if his Bluetooth or GPS adapter can be rendered useless. In any case, there seems to be a Do-It-Yourself solution that might be the answer to your problem. You do have a problem with cell phones, don't you?

The Wave Bubble is, as I've previously mentioned a DIY device that can jam the downlink/uplink of a GSM connection. The device is small and compact and has a working range of about 20 feet. It is portable, meaning that it can be fueled by AAA batteries but as it consumes a lot of power I'd recommend the use of LiIon cells (the power drain is about 650mA at 3.7V). The portable solution will last for about 1 hour, depending on the batteries, but you can alternatively use an USB connector to power up the device.

I won't get too technical, nor will I give you information regarding the assembly of such a device but as always, Google is your friend. Moreover, note that the product is illegal so building/using one will translate into problems if you get caught. The device will work on all GSM bands (850/900/1800/1900) and it also has the ability to auto-tune into the 2.4GHz band used for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters. The only problem is the actual manufacturing process. But that can be solved if you have a soldering iron, a lot of patience and you can find the PLLs and the sawtooth generator (these parts are harder to find). That being said, enjoy!
