Environmental organization Greenpeace describes the website as being similar to Kickstarter and Indiegogo

True, this year's Christmas holiday is pretty much done with. Still, this does not mean that we should wait an entire year before getting around to once again lending a helping hand to those in need. Not when we have a new website to help us help others.

Not to beat about the bush, this website that I have in mind is dubbed Grrrowd. As explained in the presentation video available below, it's similar to Kickstarter and Indiegogo in that it's meant to raise funds for various projects.

The difference is that the projects listed on Grrrowd are all eco-friendly ones. That's right, this website was put together in an attempt to make it easier for people looking to save the planet and protect various species to get the job done.

“Citizens band together to fund not just good causes, but good cases: legal action that can bring down polluting giants, rewrite bad laws, and defend people and planet,” Greenpeace explains in a statement.

The website is currently available in English, Dutch, French, Spanish and German, and for the time being, it features just four projects that all boil down to helping endangered species or regular folks fight big companies that have little to no consideration for wildlife and the most basic human rights.

Still, Greenpeace and the other eco-friendly organizations behind this project, i.e. Amnesty International, Friends of the Earth Europe, and the Environmental Defender Law Centre, expect that, soon enough, Grrrowd will grow in popularity.
