Users in India looking for a budget-friendly Android smartphone that also sports appealing specs will soon be able to purchase a new device from Intex, namely the Cloud Z6.

The mobile phone hasn’t been officially announced as of now, but it has been spotted online on Intex’s website with a large 5-inch screen and with low- to mid-level hardware specs.

Supposedly set to arrive on shelves as the successor of Intex Cloud Z5, which was made available back in June, the new Cloud Z6 will provide users with dual-SIM capabilities, in addition to other appealing features.

The aforementioned 5-inch screen, however, won’t deliver a resolution higher than 480 x 800 pixels, though the dual-SIM functionality is complemented by dual-standby capabilities.

The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, which is paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the handset will sport a microSD memory card slot, which will allow users to add up to 32GB of external storage space to it.

The specs list of the new handset also includes a 5-megapixel rear camera, most probably capable of recording videos in HD resolution, along with a 1.3MP front-facing camera for making video calls while on the go.

Intex Cloud Z6 is also listed with support for 2G (EDGE) networks, as well as with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, FM Radio, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Powered by a 2100 mAh battery, the new mobile phone will hit the market with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system loaded on top. Considering the fact that this platform release is rather old, chances are that the phone won’t be updated to a newer OS version anytime soon.

As fonearena notes, no specific info on the release date and pricing of the new Intex Cloud Z6 has been offered as of now, but those who would like to learn more on the phone can do so by going to this page on the company’s website.
