Internet Explorer was, is and will be compared to Firefox and most of the times it will lose points to the superiorly structured, easier to use and safer from viruses open-source solution.

And as Microsoft's rejecting strategy didn't pay off, the company decided to add to its browser the same features that made FireFox so popular in only a few months since its existence.

Browsing through several tabs at a time in the same window represents one of the most appreciated viewing solutions and it is offered both by FireFox and Opera. Finally, Microsoft agreed and announced that Internet Explorer 7.0 will also offer this feature.

FireFox has succeeded in maintaining the same upward slope started with the 1.0 version, and this trend continued despite the recently discovered flaws. Firefox's fans commented the recently discovered flaws as being inherent to any software and decided to stick with the open-source solution. And this vote of confidence is perfectly justified considering Mozilla's fast response time for releasing the patches and updates for these vulnerabilities, Microsoft being well-known for its slow and ineffective update system.
