The premise of the movie “Lucy” is not new. In fact, it's been done quite a few times before, but Luc Besson manages to find a way to make it interesting yet again, using the acting skills of Scarlett Johansson, as well as plenty of action scenes to spice things up.

The new international trailer brings new film footage that shows the main actress, Johansson, receiving superhuman powers by the end of the movie, being able to control matter around her, among plenty other cool things.

The movie is going to be a treat for the eyes, with special effects and juicy action scenes, a trademark of the French director, who also employs the talented Morgan Freeman for this project, in the role of a brilliant scientist, trying to understand just how a regular woman like Lucy becomes superhuman after being exposed to the mysterious drug.

In the beginning of the movie, Lucy is just an average girl that somehow gets involved with some dangerous gangs to transport an experimental drug in her body into another country. During a scuffle, the drug is released into her system, and she gains extraordinary awareness, intelligence and, with time, she's even able to control the elements.

The action movie is set to open in theaters this summer, on August 8.
