The radio looks good, probably sounds better

Internet radios are slowly but surely replacing the traditional radios on the market. Therefore, it comes natural for the respected names in the industry to come up with new marketing solutions, meaning packing more and more features in a single good looking device.

In this case, Intempo has also joined the team by releasing a brand new retro looking radio, which has both looks and brains, as they claim. Besides being nicely embedded in a resistant wooden casing, the device features some interesting capabilities.

I guess the key to a successful selling of these products is their retro design, as most of the Internet radios combine the old design with the newest technology.

The best thing is that the owner can actually pick up the favorite music, wirelessly, or through an Ethernet cable, not to mention the possibility of streaming music from your PC or laptop. Having your data on an USB stick is a solution too, since Intempo incorporates an USB port for you.

The user will have 100 preset stations to choose from. And go ahead if you want to use it as a clock radio. This baby will wake you on your favorite music. I still cannot figure out why they named it GX-01. The important thing is that the device does its tricks automatically. Nevertheless it could be a nice gift to those who are not into too much gadgetry and prefer appearance to capabilities.

Besides all these, the radio reveals a nice LCD display, which shows the name and the song of the artists. As prior capabilities, it can deal with most of the formats on the Internet, such as MP3, Real Media and Windows Media. And there is also an option to access on-demand content for specific stations.

All in all, I'd say its price tag of 120 pounds is quite spicy. Buy, hey, that's just me!
