The board of directors elected new corporate officers

Intel has announced today changes in the company's hierarchy that have occurred with the promotion of five corporate fellows. David Perlmutter and Arvind Sodhani have been apointed as executive vice presidents, while Justin Rattner, Ron Friedman and Ravi Jacob will serve as corporate officers.

David Perlmutter is the executive vice president and general manager of Intel Corporation's Mobility Group, in charge with the development, marketing and design division of Intel's mobile segment. Perlmutter is also a decision maker in the company's cross-Intel product development and architecture. He is on the company's payroll since 1980, when he graduated the Israel Institute of Technology.

Arvind Sodhani is the second vice-president of Intel, and is alleged to be taking care of the company's investments in other technologies and companies from all around the world. He is also the decision maker in what regards Intel's acquisitions of new strategic objectives.Sodhani has devoted himself to Intel since 1981 as assistant treasurer of Intel Europe.

Justin Rattner is the vice president and chief technology officer. From this position, Rattner decides upon "Intel's global research efforts in microprocessors, systems, and communications including the company's disruptive research activity", as the press release says.

Ron Friedman is the vice president and general manager of the Mobile Microprocessors Group. He is in charge of coordinating the California and Israel teams to design processors in the mobile, server and desktop sectors. Just like Perlmutter, Friedman graduated the Israel Institute of Technology.

Ravi Jacob is vice president and treasurer of Intel Corporation. He has been named in the later function back in April 2005 and ever since he has been managing Intel's finances, including capital and investments, credit and collections, retirement assets and risk and insurance. He is Master in Business Administrator.
