It would be interesting if by 2015 I could search for an Intel-based smartphone

Though the company slogan might be “Intel inside,” if there is anything that can be said about Intel and the smartphone slash tablet market, it is just the opposite: despite its continuing attempts, Intel still finds itself relatively outside it.

However, the guys at Digitimes recently found a leak regarding Intel's road map for mobile platforms. Starting with the 22nm Merrifield SoC, it is said to be planning to boost performance by 50% as well as guaranteeing a longer battery life.

As far as processors go, the new Bay Trail-T processors for tablets will sport speeds of either 1.8GHz and 2.4GHz as well as support for both Windows 8.1 and Android 4.2. There is also a Gen 7 GPU that will soon be launched.

As for 2015, the Morganfield 14nm SoC is said to be a game changer, together with the 14nm Willow Trail architecture for tablets. With Android and Windows support, of course.
