Intel may have given up on motherboards, but its SSD sub-business is still operational, and is showing no signs of decline.

The company has, in fact, just released the third member of its Solid State Drive 335 series.

Following the 180 GB and 240 GB, the newcomer has a capacity of 80 GB and a form factor of 2.5 inches.

We expect to see it inside laptops at one point or another, though resellers and online retailers should add it to their lists of shippable items as well.

For those who want the specifications, read/write speeds are of 500 / 450 MB/s over SATA III (SATA 6.0 Gbps) and the power draw is of 350mW / Idle: 275mW.

The Press Kit has more information, as does the SSD product page. The 80 GB drive hasn't been added yet, but it soon will be.
