Intel hasn't launched all its new Xeon E5 v2 server processors yet, and hasn't exactly been forthcoming with information either, but fortunately there are other sources.

In this case, a CPU support list on the ASRock website disclosed the primary specifications of the E5-4607 v2, E5-4627 v2 and E5-4650 v2.

Xeon E5-4607 v2 is a six-core unit with 12 threads (Hyper-Threading technology), 15 MB cache memory, 2.6 GHz clock and 95W TDP.

And as surprising as it sounds, that’s actually the weakest of the three. A notch above lies the 3.3 GHz, 8-core Xeon E5-4627 v2, with 130W TDP and 16 MB cache.

And above even that is the 2.4 GHz 10-core (20-thread) Xeon E5-4650 v2, with 95W TDP and 25 MB cache.

All of them are bound to show up in servers in the near future.
