Shortly after the first desktops powered by Intel's recently released Sandy Bridge-E processors were announced, iBuyPower also sent out a press release to inform us that its systems can now be configured with the Core i7 3960X and Core i7 3930K CPUs.

This includes the company's high-performance Paladin XLC and Erebus custom built desktops equipped with liquid cooling, but the chips can also be added to a host of other PCs from the company's lineup.

“We are excited to offer the highly anticipated Intel Sandy-Bridge-E Processors,” said Darren Su, Vice President of iBuyPower.

“The new CPUs provide gamers with more power than ever before,” concluded the company's rep.

Sadly, iBuyPower hasn't provided us with any prices for these systems, and the processors still weren't added to the company's online configurator when we checked, but it shouldn't take long for the CPUs to arrive.

When this happens, iBuyPower customers will be able to pair Intel's high-performance processors with a wide assortment of graphics cards from both AMD and Nvidia, including CrossFireX and SLI solutions, and also with up to 32GB of DDR3 RAM as well as six storage drives (either SSD or HDD).

Both the Core i7-3960X and the Core i7-3930K target the enthusiast crowd and feature no less than six processing cores and support for quad-channel memory running at up to 1600MHz.

The Core i7-3960X is the fastest of the two chips as it sports 15MB of Level 3 cache, and a 3.3GHz base clock speed (3.9MHz maximum Turbo), while its smaller brother comes equipped with 12MB of L3 cache and has a 3.2GHz base frequency (3.8GHz Turbo).
