With how many different parties said that the fourth-generation of Core-Series CPUs would be formally launched in June, I didn't really have any doubts about the ETA.

Still, it never hurts to have official confirmation, and that's precisely what Intel has provided.

The company has posted a short message in its newsroom, where it says that the introduction will happen in about 3,337,200,000,000,000 nanoseconds.

The technology will “usher in a host of striking new designs with incredible performance and extraordinarily long battery life.”

Basically, Haswell is bound to surpass Ivy Bridge in every meaningful way, even though they won't account for even 20% of desktop market.

Go here for the complete specifications of the CPU family, as well as the prices, and here for the information so far exposed on the Broadwell that will be even better than them.
