During Intel’s most recent earnings call CEO Brian Krzanich announced 10 million tablets containing the company’s chips were sold in 2013.

But the chip maker has big plans for 2014, so big that they expect to see their sales increase to a whopping 40 million. That’s quite a big stretch but Intel’s CEO is confident the advent of Android tablets with Bay Trail chips will drive the growth, says ZDNET.

Intel said Android slates bundled with Bay Trail processors will start making an appearance in Q2, so they are just around the corner.

According to Krzanich, Intel is prepping more than 70 new, unique 2-in-1 designs, that will be ready before the back-to-school season kickstarts.

Intel CFO Stacy Smith backed-up his CEO's claims saying he believes the company will experience growth in the tablet market and pointed out they saw a spike in sales towards the end of 2013.
