On March 20, 2015, the second installment in “The Divergent Series,” “Insurgent,” will open in theaters, much to the delight of the millions of fans from all over the world. The franchise is based on the young-adult series of novels by Veronica Roth, telling the story of a young woman named Tris who stands up for freedom in a dystopian society.

Much like “The Hunger Games” universe, “Divergent Series” is one where newcomers aren’t exactly welcome, so chances are that, if you’re reading this, you must have seen and loved the first installment.

“Divergent” ended with Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) making their escape out of the Dauntless headquarters after the Erudite’s attempts to assume control over their Faction-structured society.

In this new teaser, released ahead of the Super Bowl 2015 new TV spot, Tris is shown facing her enemy Jeanine (Kate Winslet), the leader of the Erudite who wants to destroy all the Divergents out there. In their world of Factions, where everyone is assigned a spot depending on their dominant traits, whether it’s generosity, smarts or courage, there is no place for people who have all of them, like the Divergents.

Readers of Roth’s novels will recognize the footage in this pre-Game spot as Tris’ fear landscape. Those who did not read the books will understand very little from the teaser.

“Insurgent” is directed by Robert Schwentke and also stars Jai Courtney, Ansel Elgort, Naomi Watts, Maggie Q, Zoe Kravitz and Octavia Spencer.
