14 DAY TRIAL // The team behind Instagram, one of the most popular Android apps, has just released a new application that's now available for download in Google Play Store.
Dubbed Layout, the application allows users to create photo collage from gallery. According to developers, users will be able to re-mix up to 9 of their photos at a time, in order to create these fun collage pieces, personalized layouts.
To start making your fun “layouts,” you must first choose the photos from your camera roll that you intend to use. Take advantage of the built-in Photo Booth app to take shots and instantly see them laid out in various combinations.
Then, you can simply choose the layout that you like more. You can even edit these layouts to make it more personal if the default one is not to your taste.
“Layout's smooth, intuitive process gives you complete creative control. Tap to mirror, flip or replace images, hold and drag to swap them, pinch to zoom in or out, or pull the handles to resize.
“You're the editor, so get creative, tell a story, show off an outfit or just splice, dice and change the look of your regular photos to convey a mood or theme,” says Instagram.
No signup or account required
Layout users can take advantage of the Faces tab to find photos with people in them much faster. The Recent tab provides quick access to the last 30 photos previously selected.
Last but not least, users can pair their layouts with Instagram's filters and creative tools afterwards to make them stand out from others.
You can now download Layout for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.1 and up.
Keep in mind that you don't need to sign up or register an account to start creating your photo collage pieces from the gallery.
