The ceremony took place in Santa Barbara and was “Moroccan-inspired”

Nick Carter is officially off the market, having tied the knot with fiancée Lauren Kitt in a gorgeous ceremony held in Santa Barbara over the weekend. The first photos from inside the reception have been made public, along with details about the event.

First off, Nick confirms that brother Aaron was not at the wedding but he seems to deny rumors that a new family rift has kept them apart. The Backstreet Boys star tells InTouch magazine that Aaron was supposed to be his fifth groomsman but, shortly before the wedding, he texted him to let him know he wouldn’t be able to make it.

“The people that wanted to be there were there, and that's all that matters,” Nick says with something that sounds to us a bit like bitterness. The Carters have a long history of family disputes so it would not be entirely surprising to hear that Aaron really did skip the ceremony on purpose.

On a happier note, Nick tells the publication that the reception was “Moroccan-inspired,” that his Backstreet Boys mates were there, and that there was so much love in the air at the time vows were exchanged that both he and Lauren were crying.

“As we're crying at each other and reciting vows, I know in my mind that everyone will be able to realize, ‘That's some intense real love right there!’,” he tells the tab. Indeed, paparazzi photos surfaced online right after the happy day do show Lauren wiping away tears as she and Nick are standing in front of the altar.

Speaking of Lauren, she wore a strapless wedding gown by Israeli designer Inbal Dror, which cost a whopping $10,000 (€7,220). You can get a sneak peek at it in the photo above, one of the many InTouch promises to offer fans with its latest print issue.

Last April, shortly after Nick proposed to Lauren, there was a lot of speculation on the possibility that they might agree to have TV cameras around on their big day, which would lead to one of those celebrity wedding specials that are so popular these days.

He wouldn’t say if the deal had already been signed or not but, considering that he’s already talking to the press about the wedding and has allowed photographers at the ceremony for this spread, at this point, it’s probably safe to say a TV special is coming.

When an air date for it is announced, rest assured that you’ll find out about it here.
