Tending the garden is the one of the most common dreams shared by many people, keen fans of nature and its natural resources. Unfortunately, those who live in urban, populous areas have been unable to enjoy this experience so far, but things are about to change as portable mini gardens might become the hottest new green trend.

David Barry is the creative innovator behind this project. He launches the concept of portable personal mini gardens, destined for people who do not have enough space to take care of plants in the comfort of their own apartment.

Of course, traditional plastic or ceramic pots placed in balconies are still a viable option, but nothing compares to the futuristic design and advantages provided by Barry's interesting product.

It look nothing like a common container, as it comes equipped with wheels and handles, allowing you to transport them to sunny areas. Now you can treat plants the same way you treat your pets.

This is the main advantage offered by the entire Babylon scheme. You can carry your plants just like you are used to walking your dog, or taking the kids to school every morning.

You just have to bring the pot to a park or another public area you consider appropriate, carry on with your daily activities, and then return and take the plants back to your apartment.

Such an amazing gardening alternative will most likely become popular in no time, as it provides a win-win situation, both for green inhabitants and for the air quality in populous areas. Lots of people enjoy the company of plants; yet, space and time limitations often decide in their place and make them abandon these projects or reduce them to the presence of one or two potted plants.

“The scheme provides portable growing pots. Resident of the area who wish to garden can sign onto the scheme. They are given their own growing pot and are free to leave it in a designated public area (usually a park). They can grow what they wish and use it as a portable personal garden. The Babylon scheme benefits everyone. It provides residents with a means to garden and it provides the city with well maintained greenery,” Barry explains.
