The displays will come in a variety of sizes, not just very large form factors

The 4K UHD TV market started out with large models, of 110 inches and especially 84 inches in diagonal.

Innolux believes the “smaller” models should be better represented.

We use inverted commas because, for all intents and purposes, 55 inches, 58 inches and 65 inches are still very large form factors.

Speaking of which, even screens of 39-inch and 50-inch diagonals are to get UHD support, Innolux feels.

China-based TV vendors are expected to launch UHD TVs in all the above sizes on May 1, or soon after.

Even smaller TVs are planned, for those who can't afford high-end products but want a high resolution anyway. We will leave it to customers to decide if there is any point to 3840 x 2160 pixels on small TVs, or monitors for that matter.
