Infinity Ward, the studio behind the massively popular Call of Duty series, is still "one of the most talented developers in the world," at least according to the Chief Executive Office of Activision's publishing division, Eric Hirshberg.

Talking with IndustryGamers, Hirshberg once again tackled the issue of Infinity Ward, and how the studio is coping with the departure of its founders, Jason West and Vince Zampella, as well as many of its members.

In case you forgot, the two founders left the studio during a big scandal between them and Activision, the owner of Infinity Ward, and have now founded a new company, Respawn Entertainment, and will work with EA, one of Activision's main rivals.

According to Hirshberg, the studio is still extremely capable, and still impresses everyone.

"I will say that the Infinity Ward that I'm meeting with today is one of the most talented developers in the world," he revealed.

"There's still a lot of talent and a lot of vision inside that studio, and if I had just woken up from a coma and never read a press release about Infinity Ward and just gone to my meetings with them, I would have walked out and said, 'those guys are the real deal'."

Vivendi, the parent company of Activision, also unveiled a few months ago that Infinity Ward had been restructured, and that the company would return better than ever after this year's shakeup.

Meanwhile, Activision boss Bobby Kotick stated a few months ago that West and Zampella would have trouble finding success once more, as Activision played a big role in making Call of Duty so successful over the years.

As of right now, however, we can't say for sure what is happening behind closed doors at Infinity Ward, but it's pretty safe to say that the studio will release another Call of Duty game, either next year or in 2012.
