One of the most stress-free record-breaking attempts has recently taken place at a beach in Sanur, Bali, Indonesia, where one thousand masseurs from all over the country participated in the largest massage session in the world.

The event was called “Two thousand therapists' hands in traditional Indonesian massage,” and involved just as many lucky volunteers who enjoyed a relaxing treatment and helped break the previous world record for the largest simultaneous massage.

During the mass massage, the participants were asked to lie on palmyra leaf mats and the therapists continuously massaged them for 15 minutes.

The event was a success and participants managed to beat the previous world record, which had been set in Bangkok, Thailand, in July 2013. On that occasion, 641 masseurs carried out continuous massages for 12 minutes.

One of the masseurs who took part in the record-breaking challenge, Ketut Kamiasih, said that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and everyone was really excited about it.

“I am really happy I took part in this event and am glad I could. Many therapist failed to participate because they only needed 1,000 therapists,” Ketut said, according to Metro.

All masseurs were given a certificate for participating in the event, while volunteers were certainly thrilled about the experience.
