The official blog of USEmbassy.gov – a portal for US embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions – has been hacked and defaced by an Indonesian hacker using the online moniker Dbuzz.

HackRead was the first to report on the attack that took place on Monday. Currently, the defacement page set up by the hacker at blogs.usembassy.gov/x.php has been removed. However, a defacement mirror is available on Dbuzz’s zone-h.org account.

On its subdomains, USEmbassy.gov hosts the websites of US embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions from all over the world.

For instance, the website of the United States embassy in Moscow, Russia, is hosted on moscow.usembassy.gov. The US embassy in London, UK, is at london.usembassy.gov.

It’s uncertain at this time if the hacker gained access to all these subdomains or if blogs.usembassy.gov is the only one he managed to breach.

On Tuesday, the same hacker defaced several Indonesian government websites.
