The explosion and fire of a submarine in Mumbai, India on Wednesday has been caught on camera.

As I wrote, 18 crew members remained trapped on the ship and rescue teams have discovered "no signs of life" so far.

The video report segment posted above shows the extent of the submarine flames. The INS Sindhurakshak was built in Russia in 1997 and it was serviced there this year.

It was not equipped with the proper escape routes and one person has already died in a fire on it in 2010.

Upon an inspection, officials in the Severonisk port on the Barents Sea told the proper authorities about the submarine possibly being a threat. According to ABC, no security measures were taken at the time.

"Some agencies are reporting that the fire in fact set off two torpedoes" Rahul Bedi, a defense expert with IHS Jane's Defence Weekly has informed.
