Incipio is at CES this week showing off the DIRECT Wireless Smart Outlet, Light Bulb Adapter, and Power Strip with integrated Smart Outlet, all of which support Apple’s HomeKit framework in iOS 8.

Like many other accessory manufacturers, Incipio quickly went to the drawing board when they heard that Apple would open HomeKit to developers, allowing third-party gear to be tightly integrated with the iPhone.

Incipio decided to develop cost effective solutions that offer increased compatibility with home automation devices. They came up with “three user-friendly home automation solutions and a complimentary app, at an incredible value, that will truly impact and simplify day-to-day routines with just a tap of your device or a Siri voice command,” according to their CEO, Andy Fathollahi.

Siri-integrated DIRECT Wireless gear

Incipio’s DIRECT Wireless Smart Outlet allows users to remotely control things that are plugged in the outlet, all using Siri voice commands, such as turning a lamp on and off, powering on the stereo to set the mood for a romantic evening, or switching on the heat, or the TV.

With the Incipio DIRECT Wireless Smart Lamp Adapter users can control literally every bulb in their house. Well, you need as many adapters as you have bulbs, and they’re $24.99 (€20.88) apiece, but you can just have them where they’re needed, such as in the baby’s room, or your bedroom. This one also works with Siri.

Finally the DIRECT Wireless Smart Power Strip featuring four ports lets you power three standard devices and create one smart device, in the manner described above, by remotely taking control of the plugged device using Siri, even when you’re not at home.

They’re all labeled as “coming soon,” so they should be out in the coming months.
