The development team at Sucker Punch and publisher Sony are announcing that they are currently working on a number of small updates for their recently launched InFamous: Second Son, which will be delivered in the coming weeks and will tweak a number of aspects of the title.

On the official PlayStation Blog the two companies explain that they are very happy with how the video game has been received and that "It’s been amazing to see the excitement and passion of inFAMOUS fans, new and old. I want to let you all know how much your enthusiasm and support means to us, how it renews us, and readies us to go try to make even better games in the future."

Sucker Punch also says that all feedback coming from the player community has been taken into account and that the most important issues are currently being addressed in a number of small features that will be soon launched.

Gamers will be able to change the time of day after they first beat the single player of the game, allowing them to explore the game world at any moment of the day or night they want and experience the unique look of the city of Seattle, as created by the PlayStation 4 home console.

Another feature that's designed for those who love the graphics element of the game is the ability to turn the Heads Up Display on or off, which should create more beautiful screenshots for those who want to share them with the community.

The issues of the frame rate of InFamous: Second Son will also be addressed, with the company ready to give gamers a way to cap it at 30 frames per second.

The developers add, "Of course, our coders and QA team are working to try to identify and resolve key bugs, and we’ll look at incorporating important fixes in the patch too. And who knows… if we’re inspired enough, we may sneak a few other little things in too. Time will tell!"

The patch incorporating the new features and other changes will not be launched sooner than two weeks from now and the team at Sucker Punch says that it will give more info once it has clear details and a release date.

InFamous: Second Son has had a successful launch and has managed to stay at the top of the UK chart for two consecutive weeks.
