InFamous: Second Son, the title developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony, is the new number one in the United Kingdom video game sales charts, an impressive performance given that the game was only launched on the PlayStation 4 home console and was delivered worldwide on March 21.

The tracking period for the UKIE compiled top ten is March 22, which basically means that the big launch performance of the experience happened in just one full day.

InFamous: Second Son is an action-driven experience that allows gamers to go to a future version of Seattle and experience the superpowers of a new character called Delsin, who needs to deal with other humans that acquire powers and with a government agency that tries to control them.

Sucker Punch has said that the game does not require knowledge of the first two InFamous titles to play and that it is aiming to harness the power of the PlayStation 4 in order to make Second Son a more engaging experience.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the title created by Kojima Productions and published by Konami, has managed to take home second place during its own launch week, despite the fact that many reviewers have criticized the experience for being too short.

The title is meant to show off the power of the new Fox Engine, which is designed to use the entire hardware power of the next gen of consoles, and serves as a prequel for events that will be shown off later in the year in The Phantom Pain.

The last position on the podium for the week that ended on March 22 is Titanfall, the first-person shooter from developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts, which is offered on the Xbox One and the PC at the moment.

The title’s initial performance was impressive and it will be a surprise to see it drop so fast.

Another new entry, Final Fantasy X/X-2 High Definition Remaster, from Square Enix, is in fourth place, showing that gamers still love the classic Japanese role-playing game experience, while fifth place belongs to South Park: The Stick of Truth, the title from Obsidian that was previously in third place.

FIFA 14, the football sim from EA Sports, is in sixth place and Dark Souls 2, the title from From Software and Namco Bandai, has lost five positions to reach seven.

The LEGO Movie Video Game is in eight, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare captures the ninth spot and the United Kingdom top ten is closed down by the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft.
